Linkage Between the Core Service and Academic Achievement

This study investigates the relationship between the core services with academic achievement in private institutions of higher learning. The core service is especially important to the institutions of higher learning in Malaysia as they are gearing themselves to become exporters of premier education services. Aresearch framework was developed and hypothesis was posited and tested. Data was collected using the survey method. Survey questionnaires were hand-delivered to the respondents who volunteered to be participants in this study. A total of 331 representative samples of the population were obtained from the private institutions of higher learning by using the private institutions of higher learning directory as a sampling frame, after dropping numbers of private institutions of higher learning, which had ceased their operations. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis. Statistical analyses used were the Pearson correlation and multiple regressions. Descriptive statistics were also employed. The results revealed that the core service has a relationship with academic achievement. Therefore, it deserves to be monitored and tailored appropriately in order to enhance organizational performance through academic performance. In conclusion, this study provides an insight into further understanding on how to enhance organizational performance by implementing excellent the core service management practices and simultaneously gives due emphasis on the academic achievement

Associations between integrator, grower involvement and business performance: Emphasis on validity & reliability

The aim of this study is to explain an investigation over the potential relationships between integrator and grower involvement towards business performance in broiler production. The potential role of employees’ skill levels as moderating variable between the aforementioned independent and the dependant variables are discussed.Broiler supply chain practices and its corresponding performance indicators in the form of broiler farming operations are among the important measures in the dependant variable (business performance).Based on the extensive survey of relevant literatures, a research framework is then proposed.The content validity has been done by getting opinion from the experts, namely veterinary officers.Besides that the construct reliability is determined through value from Cronbach’s Alpha.The data obtained was satisfactory for content validity and construct validity also fit the model as proposed previously

A study on customer interface satisfaction by using TAM and SERVQUAL dimension on the use of technology job search website in Malaysia: A case study

Nowadays, many companies have been using their websites to share job opportunities with job seekers.This paper aims to provide further explanation about the customer interface satisfaction on the use of job search website in Malaysia using technology acceptance model (TAM) and service quality (SERVQUAL) in the case of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) students. Furthermore, the conceptual framework which the researcher attempts to operate in this study includes TAM, SERVQUAL and Customer Satisfaction. More than 100 surveys in both questionnaires and online surveys were distributed to UUM final year students who have used job search website. The result of this study revealed significant relationships between TAM, SERVQUAL and interface satisfactions of job search websites

The effect of knowledge transfer and manufacturing capabilities among local manufacturers in northern region of Malaysia

Due to uncertain of current economic situation, manufacturers must revise their ways to survive in their business.Manufacturing capability assumes that firms are more effective than their rivals at deploying resources.It is suggested that better performing firms are more likely to address multiple manufacturing capabilities simultaneously.In developing countries, manufacturing capabilities is a new concept. There is lack of awareness on the importance of upstream manufacturing capabilities such as product development and design.Through the email survey, a total of 89 companies representing various industries had responded. The hypotheses involved were tested using correlation and regression techniques.The results of the study support all the hypotheses.This paper provides an analysis on the relationship between knowledge transfer and manufacturing capabilities among local manufacturers in Malaysian Northern Region.

Disposition to trust, interpersonal trust and institutional trust of mobile banking in Malaysia

Mobile banking refers to the use of smart phones or other mobile devices to perform tasks online banking from your home computer, such as monitoring the account balances, transfer of funds between accounts, pay bills and prepaid top-up. Mobile banking is a new strategy for the bank to enhance their latest technology in a new dynamic marketing environment.The low penetration of mobile banking in Malaysia, especially in terms of adoption patterns is becoming the research interest, especially when compared to the total number of cellular telephone subscriptions. The penetration rate of mobile banking in Malaysia is still in the minority.One of the issues identified by a few researchers is the perception of trust. This article will discuss along the trust issue and its constituents and then after the intention to use of mobile banking services. Dry-Ice Blasting of Auto Robotic Assemblies

Welding robots are extensively applied in the automotive assemblies and Spot Welding is the most common welding application practiced in the auto stamping assembly manufacturing. Though adaptive resistance welding control automatically compensates to keep production and quality up to the levels needed as welding gun tips undergo wear so that the welds remain reliable; the system cannot compensate for deterioration caused by the slag and spatter on the part holding fixtures, sensors, and gun tips. To cleanse welding robots of slag and spatter, dry-ice blasting has proven to be an effective antidote. This paper describes Spot welding process, analyses the slag and spatter formation during robotic welding of stamping assemblies, and concludes that the dry ice blasting processs utility in cleansing of welding robots in auto stamping plant operations is preeminent
